Ashish possesses a vibrant character driven by his unwavering dedication to serving humanity. His commitment to societal welfare began in his early years, as he actively participated alongside his parents in charitable endeavours within and around their business. An Engineer in Information Technology from Madhav Institute of Technology and Science in 2005, Ashish commenced his professional journey at Patni Computer Systems in the technology division. His tenure at Patni Computers was marked by significant contributions, including the establishment of the "ARTH" social development group of employees, which eventually evolved into the organization's CSR arm which was one of the key highlights for Ashish’s stint at this organization.
 
Transitioning to Lehman Brothers' India office in 2008 prior to its acquisition by Nomura Services India, Ashish continued his passion for social causes. During his tenure at Patni Computer Systems, he also spearheaded several social initiatives in conjunction with his family's hospital in Mumbai. Notably, he played a pivotable role to conceptualized, planned, and executed the "Care4Vision" program, a large-scale eye screening project for school students. This initiative garnered acclaim and recognition, being nominated among the Top 50 Innovations in India for the "Marico Innovations Awards 2008 – Social Category."
 
In 2008 while working full time with Lehman Brothers, Ashish co-founded the Umang Foundation” collaborating with like-minded colleagues to amplify their impact on the society. Over the ensuing 16 years, Umang Foundation has partnered with major corporations in Mumbai, Pune and other parts of country, positively impacting the lives of over 500,000 school children.
 
In 2019, Ashish pivoted from the corporate world to pursue his aspiration of becoming an independent business professional. This transition allowed him more flexibility to dedicate himself to social service through Umang Foundation. Together with his family, Ashish spends weekends in tribal villages, enhancing school infrastructure for zila parishad school students. Recently in September 2024 – Umang Foundation has kicked off school construction in Machhil Sector of Kupwara District in Jammu & Kashmir under guidance of Indian Army.
 
Ashish's relentless efforts have garnered widespread recognition, including five entries (2013, 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018 edition) into the Limca Book of Records and prestigious awards such as the Mahatma Awards for Social Good and the ISA Global Awards in 2019. He upholds a commitment to transparency in charity operations.
 
Throughout his journey, Ashish and his family have remained steadfast in their resolve and dedication to serving society, inheriting and perpetuating a legacy of altruism instilled by his parents. He encourages volunteerism among families, young children, fostering a culture of empathy and service for generations to come.
